The Baird has developed and maintained only the highest standards of nursing home care and has been a proud member of the Rochester Nursing Home community, since it’s beginning, in 1962. This has been made possible by the compassionate and professional members of our team who are fully committed to each resident's quality of life.

Our staff provides every individual the opportunity to enjoy the same day-to-day comforts and conveniences they’ve enjoyed throughout their lives. Residents and their families also share the peace of mind that comes from choosing a nursing home community with an established history and commitment to excellence.

Our residents say The Baird feels like home because it is. We may not be the biggest facility in Rochester, but our smaller, more intimate facility, provides residents with much more than simply a place to live. Each individual benefits from a community based on family ideals, where personal interests are achieved and lasting friendships are formed. With just 28 residents, we’re more like an extended family than a nursing home. Not only do our caregivers truly know each resident and their families, but they’re able to spend the extra time that it takes to understand and focus on the unique needs and goals of each resident.

When it comes to specialized care, The Baird offers state-of-the-art equipment and a well-trained medical staff providing individualized care to all of our residents. From day one of the admissions process, our professional nurses, dietary specialists, therapists, activities personnel and care companions work as a team to help each resident reach the highest possible level of functioning. In cooperation with the resident's physician and family, our staff designs and follows a personalized plan of treatment for each individual.
